Welcome to Cloverlands Model Car Museum
A must for car enthusiasts and clubs – among our more than 7,000 models you will find famous marques including Bentley, Bugatti, Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce, Grand Prix cars and World Land Speed Record breakers, buses, trams and vans of every description, three superstar models each more than three feet long, and much more!
More than just model cars – Cloverlands is a sublime piece of motoring social history. Its core is the collection gathered by Gillian Rogers, whose when she was a child was given two model cars by her father sparking a lifetime of motoring enthusiasm.
Miss Rogers not only collected models, but built and commissioned cars large and small. She drove all over Europe, visting classic race circuits including Le Mans and the German Nurburgring and she was a member of the Veteran Sports Car Club and of The Society of Motor Historians for many years.
Since becoming custodians of Gillian’s collection we have now acquired more than 3000 additional items, with more models constantly being added to Cloverlands.
Please see the video which was created as a tribute to our patron Gillian Rogers when we were at Montgomery.

March 2025
We reopen for our 2025 season on Saturday 29th March.
We aim to be open between 10.30 and 3.30 every weekend until the end of October and potentially some other days too, but we are a very small team! So it will be essential to check this page for the latest updates, particularly as we anticipate having to close for a while sometime in the summer to allow essential roof work to be carried out. But please come and visit us!
February 2025
One current major project is to mount the remarkable collection of Bugattis asmassed by our Trustee Max Tomlinson, who sadly we lost on New Year's Eve. When complete and with proper signage in our second room the collection will definitely be an impressive extra attraction and a tribute to the much-missed Max.
July 2024
These are just three of a collection of very finely constructed plastic kits donated to us by modeller David Gillyon - on temporary display in our welcome cabinet while we await news on potential extra display space…
The museum is open at weekends 11am and 4pm and the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway will be running - sounds like a grand day out!
June 2024
We are making great progress populating our Wall of Formula One project, and we now have more than half of the thousand or more cars that have competed in the F1 World Championship since it started in 1950. long way to go though!
May 2024
Much work over the winter saw the collection of our founder Gikllian Rogers brought together on two walls. Our development will continue on a smaller scale through the year before phase 2 gets underway over the winter.
